Voluntary Stewardship Program

Lewis County is one of 27 counties in Washington State that have opted into the Voluntary Stewardship Program (VSP). This is an innovative approach to address our state’s Growth Management Act requirements. The program uses a watershed-based, incentive-based process to protect critical areas, promote viable agriculture, and encourage cooperation among diverse stakeholders. We are actively recruiting agricultural landowners to complete Stewardship Plans. See below for more information.
